"Thank you Lord for getting us up this morning, for the day in front of us,
but mostly that you are with us.
Oh God, please guide our thinking, moderate our speaking and order our steps
and please forgive us our transgressions, whatever they may be.
May your love flow to us, through us and surround us.
May we become true reflectors, and ultimately, sources of such love.
Bless this day for us and us for you.
In the name of Jesus the Messiah,
AMEN"
A prayer by Normal Hatter

Welcome Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Questions for Reflection:  Have you known a time when the law just wasn’t right?  Are you inclined to follow the law anyway, or do you ignore it?

Prelude: "ONE THING REMAINS"-STANFILL sung by Keisha Prime

Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant through the trial and the change
One thing remains,
Yes, one thing remains.

Chorus 3x:]
Your love never fails,
It never gives up
It never runs out on me

Your love, your love

Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant through the trial and the change
One thing remains,
Yes, one thing remains.

Chorus 3x:]
Your love never fails,
It never gives up
It never runs out on me

Your love, your love

Because on and on, and on, and on it goes
For overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never ever have to be afraid
One thing remains
So, this one thing remains.

[Chorus 3x:]
Your love never fails,
It never gives up
It never runs out on me

Chorus 3x:]
Your love never fails,
It never gives up
It never runs out on me

Gathering
God word is a lamp unto our path and a light unto our path.
When we are afraid or and think we’ve lost our way, God is ever near.
Let us enter God’s presence with thanksgiving,
And into God’s presence with praise.
Let us worship God.

Call to Confession
There is nothing we have done, or left undone, that is not already known by God.  This gives us confidence, to be fully open ourselves, that we can be fully forgiven.

Prayer of Confession
God of Life, you promise us a kingdom that cannot be shaken and call us to serve you with praise and thanksgiving.

But we forget, and yield to fear.  We trust in the tangible rewards of this world and neglect your promises.  We confess that we are a divided people; we foster separations and widen rifts in our families, our communities, and in the world.

    A time of silent prayer…

Open us to your healing.

Give us your grace and inspire us to serve you with courage; through Jesus Christ who comes to save. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon
Give thanks that we have been known and forgiven, set free to live the resurrected life of faith.
The peace of Christ be with you. And also with you

Turn to those near to you—or across the room—and smile, nod your
head, indicating that your share these blessings with one another

Prayer for Understanding
Almighty God, you know us better than we know ourselves. By your word, give us understanding, by your Spirit, grant us wisdom, and set us free to serve you with love. Amen.

Sermon by The Rev. Russell Lehman

*Affirmation of Faith   from “A Brief Statement of Faith” pcusa
In everlasting love, the God of Abraham and Sarah chose a covenant people to bless all families of the earth. Hearing their cry, God delivered the children of Israel from the house of bondage. Loving us still, God makes us heirs with Christ of the covenant. Like a mother who will not forsake her nursing child, like a father who runs to welcome the prodigal home, God is faithful still.

Pastoral Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer
(This is the Ecumenical Version; feel free to use the words of your choice)
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come,
your will be done on earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen

Special Music "UNWAVERING"-MAHER sung by Keisha Prime

Blessed are the poor
The kingdom is theirs
Alive in the promise
To be dead to the world
Blessed are the meek
In honor of your Father
The Word at your right hand
The Spirit of truth

Unwavering is Your voice
Unwavering is Your hand
Unwavering is the heart that bled for the sins of men
Unwavering is Your will
Unwavering is Your plan
The fount of salvation on which we will stand

Blessed are the righteous
On bended knee
Found in this freedom
Committed to You
Blessed are those who see
The heights of glory
Found in the valley
And suffering for You

Unwavering is Your voice
Unwavering is Your hand
Unwavering is the heart that bled for the sins of men
Unwavering is Your will
Unwavering is Your plan
The fount of salvation on which we will stand

Send us out to be Your hands and feet
Send us out to be Your hands and feet
Send us out to be Your hands and feet

Unwavering is Your voice
Unwavering is Your hand
Unwavering is the heart that bled for the sins of men
Unwavering is Your will
Unwavering is Your plan
The fount of salvation on which we will stand

The fount of salvation on which we will stand

Send us out to be Your hands and feet
Send us out to be Your hands and feet
Send us out to be Your hands and feet
Send us out to be Your hands and feet
Send us out to be Your hands and feet
Send us out to be Your hands and feet

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Inspired by the knowledge of your love, giving thanks for the gifts you offer us each day, we pray that these offerings and our lives may further your kingdom on earth. Amen.

Postlude- "Your Love Is Amazing"-Brown sung by Keisha Prime

Your love is amazing
Steady and unchanging
Your love is a mountain
Firm beneath my feet

Your love is a mystery
How You gently lift me
When I am surrounded
Your love carries me

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Your love makes me sing
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Your love makes me sing

Your love is surprising
I can feel it rising
All the joy that's growing
Deep inside of me
And every time I see you
All your goodness shines through
And I can feel this God song rising up in me

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Your love makes me sing
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Your love makes me sing

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Your love makes me sing
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Your love makes me sing

Your love is surprising
I can feel it rising
All the joy that's growing
Deep inside of me
And every time I see you
All your goodness shines through
And I can feel this God song rising up in me

Your love is surprising
I can feel it rising
All the joy that's growing
Deep inside of me
And every time I see you
All your goodness shines through
And I can feel this God song rising up in me
