About Rev. Elizabeth Coleman:
Rev. Elizabeth ColemanRev. Elizabeth (Bessie) Coleman is a native of Anniston, Alabama. She earned her BA degree in Psychology at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She completed the Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees at Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. She was ordained a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC-USA by the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley on July 5, 2003. She has served as TEFL English Teacher in Peace Corps in M’Bour, Senegal, as Employment Interviewer with the Alabama State Employment Service, as Southeast Regional Organizer with Bread for the World, as Pastor of both Presbyterian and Lutheran churches, and as a Chaplain for several healthcare facilities. Rev. Coleman’s hobbies include writing poetry and non-fiction, and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. She has one daughter and son-in-law, and three grandsons.
